What's in Stormee

Centuries-old wisdom. Modern ritual.

Drinking vinegars aren't new. Vinegar based drinks have been made and enjoyed across cultures for centuries, often combined with ingredients such as fruit, herbs, spices and honey.

Stormee takes inspiration from that long tradition and makes it our own. New Zealand Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, real ginger, New Zealand beechwood honey, cayenne, kawakawa and Himalayan pink salt, brought together into a fierce modern concentrate.

What does Stormee taste like?

Fierce ginger. Tart, not sweet.

Fresh ginger hits first. Then comes the tartness of apple cider vinegar, a little roundness from the honey and layers of warming spice.

It's bold and refreshing, with a full mouthfeel and a ginger heat that hangs around long after the first sip.

Ingredients with history. And plenty of character.

Stormee brings together ingredients people have cooked with, brewed with and reached for across generations. I chose them because I love what they bring to the glass.

Real Ginger

The heart of Stormee. Ginger has a long history in food and traditional preparations around the world. In Stormee, fresh ginger juice, ground ginger and natural ginger flavour bring the unmistakable heat and bite.

New Zealand Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother

Apple cider vinegar has been part of kitchens and traditional food cultures for generations. Ours is New Zealand Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother. Tart, punchy and exactly the kind of acidity Stormee needed.

Why the vinegar?

Because flavour needs contrast, and the fermentation builds flavor.

Our apple cider vinegar makes Stormee come alive. It cuts through the honey, lifts the ginger and gives the drink its sharp, refreshing finish.

It's not there because we think you should drink vinegar.

It's there because Stormee wouldn't taste like Stormee without it.

New Zealand Beechwood Honey

Honey is one of the oldest ingredients around. Ours brings just enough roundness to balance the fire and acidity without turning Stormee sweet.

Kawakawa

A native New Zealand botanical with a long history of traditional Māori use. We use it for its distinctive botanical character and the way it sits alongside ginger.

Cayenne Pepper

Used in kitchens around the world for generations. In Stormee, it has one job.

A little more fire.

Himalayan Pink Salt

Just a touch. It pulls the flavours together and rounds out the glass.

These ingredients aren't new. Ginger, apple cider vinegar, honey, cayenne, kawakawa and salt have been used in food, traditional preparations and wellbeing rituals for generations.

We're not here to make health claims. You get enough of those.

Stormee has to taste great first and foremost.

That's why every ingredient is in the bottle. For flavour, balance, bite and that fierce ginger warmth that hangs around.

The history is interesting. The ritual matters. But if it doesn't taste bloody good, what's the point?
